Interior Designers for Mid/Upper Tier Hospitality – Venice, CA, US | Works

Studio Collective is a boutique interior design firm located in Venice and is actively seeking senior designers with a minimum of 5-8 years of experience to join our unique team. The designer will act as the project team leader and manage the overall design, development and production of one of our exciting hospitality projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Possess strong creative skills and leadership ability
• Act as project manager under the guidance of the principal. Duties include creating, updating and maintaining project budget(s), project schedules and deliverables timelines, FF&E specification books and sets of project drawings.
• Oversee the design for one or more clients and ensure that the designs meet the expectations of the client(s).
• Liaison with directors, employees, consultants, suppliers and contractors
• Maintain the overall design direction and aesthetics of the project
• Manage the delivery and installation phases of the project(s)
• Review and selection of all furniture and decorative items with the project team(s) for approval by the main responsible
• Oversee and coordinate all budgeting, commissioning, expediting and scheduling of project team(s) for residential and/or commercial interior design projects
• Assist the design team with design planning, conceptual and schematic presentations
• Attend project meetings and site visits, alone or with the director(s)
• Supervise and coordinate project installations on site
• Manage and mentor other office staff including project team members, design assistants and interns
• Waiting to direct project drawing packages for ALL phases; both with regard to the description of the sets to be completed, the revision and correction of the drawings, and the active participation in the production of the said drawing packages
• Purchasing furniture and decorative items as needed, maintaining FF&E budgets and all backup documents
• Liaise with procurement team, directors and project managers

QUALIFICATIONS:

In-depth working knowledge of presentation/design software such as AutoCAD, Sketch-UP, In Design, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite

Interior design and/or architecture degree

Experience working on hospitality related projects.
